Times they are a changin'

Dearest Art Life Friends:

This is Mai Harris. Most of you already know that LeAnn Lewis and myself sadly have to leave our beloved house on Kings Hwy. This house has been a hub for Art Life gatherings from the beginning. We've all had a lot of fond memories here. To make matters worse, both LeAnn and I will be leaving the boro for the moment. Neither of us will be far away though. I want to assure everyone that we will both continue to actively run Art Life and continue our mission of improving our local art community.

The last few months have been really amazing for the arts in Murfreesboro. It may be subtle, but there is definitely a change happening and I'd like to think Art Life has had a lot to do with it. We've met so many amazing artists and art lovers who have gone above and beyond contributing to our mission. I know the momentum will continue building, and one day this city is going to be much better than what it was before.

I grew up in Murfreesboro, and no matter where life happens to take me I have every intention of continuing the development of the Murfreesboro art community in whatever way I can. If we can change things here, I think we can go to any small town in America and do the same! We could change the entire country. I believe in art's ability to do that, and I believe in our ability to make it happen!

I love you all, and am so thankful to have had the opportunity to embark on this adventure with all of you. Stay strong everyone! We will keep you posted on new locations for our meetings!

xoxo
Mai Harris
